Any author of the paper may be designated the corresponding author. We would prefer the corresponding author to be the presenting author to minimize any future disruption in the final paper submission and registration. The corresponding author is responsible for all activities related to the paper submission, including:

  • Initial submission of a compliant manuscript.
  • Making any updates or changes to the paper that may be requested or required.
  • Acting as the representative to all authors associated with the paper as the lead communicator and representative for the paper.
  • Ensuring the conference registration fee is paid to support final paper upload.
  • Completing final submission of the paper on or before the final submission deadline.
  • Ensuring the paper is presented at the conference during the assigned presentation session.
  • Adherence to the IEEE No Show Policy, and other IEEE publication standards.

  • One of the authors must be designated as the corresponding author of the paper.
  • The length of the paper is limited to six pages.
  • IECBES2026 does not accept concept paper which constitutes research background and proposed methodology without any preliminary result. Review paper that constitutes a complete and extensive review of the existing studies and discusses recent and upcoming trend that fits one of the conference tracks can be considered.
  • All authors have to be listed at the first page of the paper and in the paper management system.

  • Each corresponding author can submit two papers to IECBES2026 and thus is entitled for two final submissions per registration (only for physical presentation).
  • At the time of submission, the manuscript must be IEEE PDF compliant (compliance of margins, headers, and footers, page numbers, and other size specifications). It is best that you use the system built in PDF conversion tool, please go here for IEEE pdf compliant, conference code: 69346x. Non-compliant manuscript will not meet the publication requirements, thus will not be published in the conference proceeding and IEEE Xplore.
  • As one of the IEEE conferences, we strictly adhere to the IEEE Plagiarism policy available here. We strongly encourage the authors to use any standard plagiarism check software, such as IEEE Crosscheck, and Turnitin before submitting the paper. We will use following guideline to identify suspected case(s), excluding reference list: "The sum of plagiarized materials is more than 30% from single or multiple sources".

Paper review

  • The manuscript will be sent for review after the final submission deadline.
  • The manuscript will be scanned for possible plagiarism using IEEE CrossCheck.
  • The manuscript(s) suspected for possible plagiarism will be reviewed by the committee before the notification of rejection is sent to the corresponding author.
  • Every manuscript will be reviewed by at least two reviewers.
  • The paper will be reviewed based on its technical merit, innovation, significance to the biomedical engineering and science community, and quality of presentation (such as paper format, grammatical errors, quality of figures and tables)
  • It will be single-blind review, which the authors will not be able to identify any of reviewers.
  • Papers with the highest review score in the corresponding tracks and/or nominated by the reviewer(s) will be shortlisted for the best paper awards.
