Call for Special Session Proposals

The IEEE-EMBS Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (IECBES 2024) will organize a few special sessions to provide a platform for focused discussions on specific topics and innovative applications.

The special session proposals will be assessed by the committee after the submission deadline has passed and the result will be notified to the proposer.

All special sessions proposals should be submitted to info@iecbes.org. The special sessions proposals will be assessed by the committee after the submission deadline has passed and the result will be notified to the proposer.

Guidelines for Organizers

Special session proposals should include the title, aim and scope (including a list of main topics), and the names of the organizers of the special session.
At least one of the special session organizers should attend and chair the special session.
At least 6 papers are required for a special session. For one full registration, two papers could be presented.
Proposals of similar topics will be suggested to merge.
There is no financial subsistence provided for session organizers, session chairs, and invitees. All participants including session organizers, chairs and invitees are required to register and pay the registration fee.

Call for Workshop Proposals

The workshop aims to highlight the research and practice advancements, foster communications, exchange new findings, and stimulate discussions on future challenges and opportunities in the field of biomedical engineering and technology. The workshop will be carried out in conjunction with the IEEE-EMBS Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (IECBES 2024).

The workshop will provide a great opportunity for the participants to enhance their knowledge of a specific topic. The workshop organizers could be industrials, practitioners, or researchers. The workshops are defined as either full-day or half-day, with a minimum of 15 participants.

Notification of Proposal Acceptance : 31 Aug 2024

You are invited to submit a proposal with the following contents:

Title of the workshop
Name and contact information of the proposer(s)
Length of the workshop (full or half day)
A statement of the goals and motivation for the workshop
An outline of the workshop (scope and topics)
Requirements for the workshop (e.g. laptops, MATLAB etc.)
A short description on target audience
A short biography of the speakers
